Conference Venue
MODELS 2014 will take place at the Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación (CPI) at the Universitat
Politècnica de València.
Universitat Politècnica de València is a young institution, having been in existence for 40 years.
The Universitat Politècnica de València comprises 14 colleges and 10 research institutes.
The Vera Campus site is located to the north of the city of Valencia in a peaceful setting that borders
with traditional farmland. It consists of nearly 60 buildings arranged in an orderly manner around the
Agora, which is the centre of life on the campus. There are over 108 000 square metres of green
spaces that house an open-air museum of sculpture.
The final destination is: Street ”Ingeniero Fausto Elio” and ”Los Naranjos Avenue”. Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación (CPI). The price
of a taxi in Valencia is determined by taximeter that all Valencia taxis are obligated to have. If you get a taxi at the Valencia Airport there is a flat
rate of 23 euros.
How to Reach the Conference Venue by Bike
Valencia incorporates a modern initiative offering the citizens and visitors a total of 2.750 bicycles distributed in 275 stations, in close proximity to each other in different parts of the city.

How to Reach the Conference Venue by Bus
EMT is the Municipal Transport Company. You can arrive to the CPI-UPV using the bus lines 41 “Plaza Espanya” and 29 “Av. del Cid” whose last stop of the lines is at the station Av. de los Naranjos-Fausto Elio. The bus stop is just in front of the conference main entrace. Metrovalencia encompasses the network within the city of Valencia, its metropolitan and surrounding area. You must take the tram to ”Dr. Lluch” (Line 4), or to ”Maritim Serreria” (Line 6). (Both lines use the same railway). Avoid trams with direction Taronjers. You must get off the tram at station ”Serreria”. If you need to reach the conference from the city center by undergroud, you must combine the underground with the tram. The steps are:
1.
The start station could be ”Xativa” or ”Colon (underground).
2.
Take the underground ”Rafelbunyol” or ”Alboraya” (Line 3).
3.
Get off the underground in ”Benimaclet Station.
4.
You must leave the underground and cross the tram line. Please, do not validate the ticket again if you come from the underground in
the same trip. Changes between undergrounds or between underground and tram are the same trip.
5.
Take the tram ”Dr Lluch” (Line 4) or ”Maritim Serreria” (Line 6).

Get off the tram at ”Serreria” Station
How to Reach the Conference Registration Desk
To access the conference area you must go to the main entrance (labeled with the number 5) and get the elevator (or the stairs) to the third floor (terrace). From there the MODELS 2014 Secretariat and Registration Desk are located in the Hall of the Blue Cube.How to Reach the Conference Venue by Car or Taxi:
The Satellite Events (September 28th - 30th) will be held in the Green, Yellow, Blue and Red Cubes.
The MODELS Conference (October 1st - 3rd) will be held in the Yellow, Blue and Red Cubes.
The SAM conference (September 29th - 30th) will be held in the Blue Cube.
